Like a cross between HAL 9000 and R2-D2, the Bliptronic 5000 LED Synthesizer ($50) is an unusual retro synthesizer with a grid of glowing buttons. Create evolving electronic melodies by turning notes on and off while the song is looping. You can also link with any number of other Bliptronics to make more complex melodies. Each Bliptronic in a chain can have different tempo and instrument settings, allowing you and your friends to achieve unusual results. The Bliptronic has a built-in speaker with headphone and line-out jack and includes a user manual and 2 link cables for connecting additional Bliptronic units.
