It’s not often that you come across a puzzle where the individual pieces are any fun, but the PuzzlePlay Rainforest ($20) is just as exciting to play with apart as it is to put together. Most of the 18 pieces are rainforest creatures like exotic birds, reptiles, and monkeys, with a few pieces of scenery for them to inhabit. Kids can use the colorful animals for many types of play, or they can experiment with how each piece interlocks with the others and try to solve the puzzle.
